AMANDA J. LOWERY for CLERK
“I served you and the rest of my country for several years in the United States Air Force, and I am prepared to serve you again as your Township Clerk. I will do so with the same dedication and attention to detail required of a military officer.”
A dedicated public servant and educator, Amanda’s life is marked by a profound commitment to service and learning. Her academic pursuits, culminating in a BA in Spanish and an MA in Linguistics from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, underpin a lifelong passion for education, expressed through teaching English, Spanish, pre-school music, and voice.
After nearly seven years of distinguished service as a Captain in the United States Air Force, she transitioned to impactful community leadership. For eight years, Amanda has nurtured youth development as a volunteer leader with the Jackson County 4-H Makanda Clovers, and she extended her support to fellow veterans through a decade-long involvement with Team Red, White, and Blue's Southern Illinois Chapter, including four years as a volunteer leader. Currently, Amanda channels her expertise into homeschooling her three children.
